About

Our Mission

In 2024, 11.9 billion Pokémon cards were sold. Although Pokémon Trading Card Game has always been popular, within the last years, sales have soared as a result of Pokémon being brought back into the mainstream. As a result, it is common for stores to be sold out of Pokémon cards and online retailers are charging double or triple the original price.

Why? People are looking for their "chase card"- an often rare and valuable card that a collector wants. Since Pokémon cards come in a booster pack of 10, what happens to the remaining cards that are not desired?

They are thrown away. Or simply sit in a box.

Holo Hearts wants to redirect these cards into the hands of children. We give them new purpose: helping teachers use them as classroom rewards, providing kids' clubs with fun activities, and making sure every child has a chance to experience the excitement of trading and collecting.

Based in Bellevue, Washington, we are providing children of the Eastside and Greater Seattle Area the joy of Pokémon. We partner with local schools, teachers, and youth organizations, fostering community connection and imagination!

Lauren C

Founder and Pokémon Enthusiast

Hi! My name is Lauren and I am a junior in high school. I am an avid fan of Pokémon and have been collecting cards for half of my life!

Some of my fondest memories include going to ToysRUs and picking out a new pack of Pokémon cards. The best part? Their shelves were always full. The booming popularity of Pokémon cards during the pandemic was bittersweet; I was thrilled to see many people gain interest in the hobby, but it was saddening that one of my favorite hobbies has become very inaccessible.

After hearing how many collectors end up throwing their bulk away, it made me think about how much joy someone else could get out of those cards. Thus, Holo Hearts was formed!
